1. The percentage fee (Commission on obra)
In this model, the designer charges a percentage (typically 10% to 20%) of the total cost of construction, materials, and purchases. While it aligns interests on the scope, it can create doubts about budget inflation. At Olivo, we prefer transparent flat fees or clearly itemized turnkey contracts.
2. The flat fee per space
A closed fee for designing a specific space (e.g. a kitchen or a master bedroom). This is the model we adopt for our Design Project service (starting at $4,500 MXN per space), ensuring you know exactly what your design investment is before you buy or build anything.
